High-Quality Multi-Layer Wall for the Cubie Outdoor Sauna

The Cubie outdoor sauna is designed with maximum thermal insulation, durability, and refined aesthetics in mind. Each layer of the wall has a specific function, working together to create ideal sauna conditions all year round, even on the coldest winter days.

The external wall cross-section consists of:

• External render system (7 mm) – provides an elegant and durable exterior finish
• XPS insulation (40 mm) – provides excellent thermal insulation
• OSB board (18 mm) – structural and stabilising layer
• Spruce substructure (40 mm) / square steel tube – ensures strength and long-term durability
• Aluminium thermal insulation foil (1 mm) – reflects heat back into the interior
• Agepan board (40 mm) – provides additional thermal and acoustic insulation
• Internal spruce substructure (40 mm)
• Aspen interior cladding (12 mm) – creates a pleasant, natural appearance and an authentic sauna atmosphere

Upon request, an additional 40 mm insulation layer can also be installed to further improve the sauna’s energy efficiency. This technically advanced wall construction makes the Cubie outdoor sauna energy-efficient and resistant to weather conditions, while effectively retaining heat inside for a comfortable and enjoyable sauna experience throughout the year.
