Hrovat

By a decision dated 10 February 1964, a craft permit was issued for carrying out carpentry work under the name Carpentry Hrovat Franc. And that is when it began... Franc started making structural and room furniture right in the courtyard of his family homestead, and with strong will and hard work he managed to buy his first planer machine and moved into the premises of the defunct "Royal Mill".

Purchase of the former sheet metal workshop at Masljeva 8a, where the company still operates today! By producing high-quality slats from solid wood, the company became a reliable supplier to larger production plants in the furniture, automotive, and food industries, while Franc also began developing his own products (formwork slats, garden furniture...). All of this was enough for him to thoroughly renovate the workshop and modernize the machinery. All the effort paid off! What a great feeling!!!

After Franc's retirement, the family tradition is taken over by his son Marko, who completely reorganizes the product range in the following years. Over time, the company begins developing comprehensive solutions for furnishing gardens and outdoor spaces, while building customer trust through innovative projects. At that time, half of the company's employees are members of the Hrovat family.

For the humble Hrovat family, who worked with their own hands to earn their own home, their own land, and their carpentry workshop, the unimaginable happened! Franc began building a new production complex which, with over 1000 m2 of covered area, finally met the scope of the work. In this complex, the main production processes still take place today.

The grandson Jaka also joins the company, bringing new energy and a strong desire to create, making a significant contribution to the company's continued development.

We are proud to present our first globally oriented project, under the Glamping Solutions brand (www.glampingsolutions.com). We presented comprehensive solutions for the planning and implementation of glamorous camping destinations at the Salon Sett fair in Montpellier, France, and received a positive response.

We are stronger than ever! A clear vision, energy, a reliable team, and a results-oriented approach are our greatest strengths. We are constantly acquiring new knowledge, we are open to change, we embrace the latest technology, and we build on mutual trust. This makes us good enough to set trends in the wood industry!

Innovative products and a clear vision are the result of continuous creation over the past years. We believe that this is only the beginning of something greater... the beginning of a great story of a small craftsman whose light grows stronger and stronger. And we wish that one day this light will shine throughout the whole world. Our family has grown by quite a few members. In 2019, we proudly present our creations on the completely new website hrovat.net, which we built for almost 2 years. We are proud of it as if it were our own child! :)

We became CO2-neutral craftsmen. We plant as many trees as we cut down, and at the same time, by planting trees, we offset the CO2 we release into the air. This motivated us to establish the Treecelet project, through which we spread the story of tree planting globally. Treecelet is a bracelet that plants trees. In the first year, we managed to plant 180,000 trees. We have supporters from more than 30 countries. More about the project.

We refreshed our mission and vision. With the help of the funds obtained from the "Digital Transformation" call, we are becoming a fast-growing lean organization. We defined values that have become our compass, making it even easier to spread "good" in the world. Now all employees are involved in the development and operations of the company. We are more connected than ever before. Together we are proud to be making a change in the world. Cubie houses are becoming even more beautiful, even bolder, and even higher quality. We are still planting trees (Treecelet)  – by mid-year we had already planted 340,000 of them! Thank you.
