5 Interesting Facts You Don't Yet Know About Mizarstvo Hrovat

At Mizarstvo Hrovat, we have been making wooden products of all kinds for more than 55 years. Our story stretches from simple “boards” to the sophisticated CUBIE garden house, which has become our signature product in recent years.

Over all this time, quite a few anecdotes and events have accumulated that have marked our company and, of course, everyone who is part of our story.

Today, we will share some of these interesting facts with you, giving you a better insight into the operations and values of our company.

Recently, Jaka took over the reins of the carpentry business from his father Marko. As the grandson of the founder Franc, he is now the third generation to lead the carpentry workshop toward new paths and a bright future with a clear vision and goal.

Marko is still very active in the company. His passion for developing new products and his many years of experience remain important elements in the leadership and development of the company.

Founder Franc began our story on February 10, 1964. At that time, he made building and room furniture right in his home yard.

But with an iron will, hard work, and above all with you, our loyal customers, he moved in 1975 to the building of a former car paint workshop, and in 1985 expanded it into a 1000 m2 complex, where we still operate today.

Although we have grown from 5 to 20 members over the past few years, we are still closely connected. We have family values, as we solve all problems and obstacles together, and we also celebrate successes and achieved milestones together.

In addition to Slovenia, which is our primary market, we have also sent our Cubie houses across the border. You can find them in Austria, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, and even Luxembourg.

Our main motto has always been: “Quality and development.” In line with this, at the beginning of the year we became the first CO2-neutral craftsmen. This means that for all the CO2 emissions we produce (including every kilometer traveled), we plant trees and thus ensure that we give back to nature what it has been giving us for more than 55 years.
